Thomas Thornton is a designer who has bounced around different countries, studies, design industries and professional experiences. Throughout these years, one thing has remained true - his love of building and creating.

Bus or Bust (Final Major Project) was an opportunity for Thornton to try and design an original toy. Having enjoyed the playful process of re-designing and re-configuring a Jack-in-the-box back in 2019, Thornton was waiting for a new opportunity to design a game. After analysing the elements that compose the Jack-in-the-box, especially those that pull on the emotions and feeling, the basis for the game was created. The theme of action, tension and surprise were quickly picked to create the emotional theme of the game.
