Myed Rebenque
Myed Rebenque is an architecture student, whose Final Major Project developed the outline brief of Collective Existence.
“Collective existence refers to the shared reality and interconnectedness of individuals or entities within a larger system.”
This report places Rebenque's Final Major Project in a professional, regulatory, and industry context. The project is to design a dual-use building that will function as a charity shop/sorting centre during the day and as an e-sports facility at night. The project investigates how one building system can facilitate two different programs with different operational, environmental, and safety requirements. The concept is centred on community exchange. The building combines social value and digital culture in the local area, creating a shared space for different user groups throughout the day. Activities in the daytime support circular economy and community engagement, while night-time activities make the space active through gaming, events, and social interaction.
