Nellie O’Donoghue

Nellie O'Donoghue is an aspiring furniture designer interested in furniture across different styles and eras, with her favorite being mid-century.

O'Donoghue's furniture features a lot of design elements that are resonant of mid -century design and she likes to feature colourful motifs throughout her work. She has used various machinery and materials to create furniture models and has skills in designing 3D models on digital software such as RHINO. She demonstrates a strong motivation to learn and improve her skills in furniture design and strives to expand her knowledge and experiment within her field.

With background in Graphic Design and Fine Art, O'Donoghue would like to bring a maximalist and conceptualist approach towards her designs. She will be studying Product and Furniture Design at Nottingham Trent University next year and hopes to enhance my practical design skills. Nellie would like to refine her practical skills and design thinking while considering user needs and sustainability. She would like to strengthen her creative, intellectual, and technical abilities, preparing for a future in design.
