Dysconsumption
Dysconsumption – “Dysconsumption” shows overconsumption as a repetitive cycle. Despite the enticing exterior, the consumer journey changes the moment they enter the store making the space feel overwhelming and eerie.
Experimentation
Experimentation – These sketches are from Unit 2, and links back to Caroline's overconsumption Final Major Project. As you saw from “Dysconsumption”, Caroline wanted to take a conceptual approach to the project, which is why she experimented with overconsumption with the constant use of different patterns.
Cinnamon Spot
Cinnamon Spot – This sketch was also from Unit 2. Caroline wanted to create a dessert cafe, and chose to experiment with the shape of cinnamon buns to make an open outdoor seating area to see exactly how people move through the space.
Rooftops
Rooftops – This project was based off client wants and needs. The client specifically asked for a rooftop that considered how her and her friends would move through the space as they like the outdoors (e.g. biking, hang out spot) In all of these sketches, Caroline made sure to implement outdoor elements that would be enjoyable for her and her friends.
