Collective Healing Architecture looks at how to make people feel better in cities. It uses the Kentish Town Action Lab in Camden, London to create a place for relaxation, socialising and emotional recovery. The idea is to turn a civic building into a modern space that helps people feel calm and connected.

The project aims to solve a problem in cities, namely people are stressed, overstimulated and disconnected from nature. Making wellness available, not only a luxury for some, it wants to make it a normal part of city life.

The building used to be the Palace Cinema, designed by John Stanley Beard in 1913. Cinemas were important social spaces where people gathered. The proposal brings back this sense of community by turning the building into a place for restoration and social connection.
