“Cybersecurity is like a game of poker: you always have to stay one step ahead.” Inspired by this quote from Kevin Mandia, former CEO of FireEye, Reigis Muca sees cyber security as the modern form of traditional “physical security”. As the world continues to shift from documents being stored in binders to hard drives and the cloud, traditional security alone is no longer enough. Companies now rely on networks, data, software and online services, meaning cyber security is essential for protecting everyone's data in this day and age.

Muca is a passionate, final year BA (Hons) Cyber Security student at Ravensbourne University London with a strong interest in computer vision engineering and SOC analysis and aims to pursue these positions in his future career helping companies strengthen their digital infrastructure, detect threats and stay one step ahead. Throughout his degree, he has developed hands on experience across multiple programming languages such as Python, C#, Java and many more. This has helped him facilitate projects in networking, computer vision, system administration and cyber defence.

His Final Major Project, a network architecture for Maximus Arts, showcases his ability to design, secure and deploy a secure cyber security solution from theory to practice. The project involved building a secure, wired only, zero cloud network for a games development company operating across the UK and China. It combined VPN tunnelling, centralised identity management, RBAC, an SIEM tool, backup and recovery functions, file hashing and a custom MFA program and many more features to create a polished and secure final product.
