Inspired by the Union Street Urban Orchard, a temporary initiative that effectively brought together urban agriculture, community activities, and environmental awareness, this proposal explores a comparable multifunctional approach. The programme of the skatepark-orchard is informed by this precedent, reinterpreting its combination of uses within a permanent and site-specific framework.
The project integrates recreational, ecological, and social functions into a single adaptable space. Alongside its primary role as a skatepark, the site is conceived as a productive orchard and a platform for community life. It can accommodate workshops, educational initiatives, small events, and seasonal markets, encouraging ongoing public engagement.
By translating the principles of a temporary urban intervention into a long-term design, the project seeks to strengthen the relationship between people and their environment, while contributing to a resilient and socially active urban landscape.
