Oanh Nguyen is a fashion designer focused on the relationship between emotional memory and garment structure. Her work explores the concept of “protection,” translating the childhood gesture of being held into silhouettes that suggest safety and support.

Her practice is defined by a hybrid workflow between CLO 3D and physical development. By testing volumes, textures, and colour palettes digitally first, she ensures technical precision while significantly reducing material waste, a more sustainable approach to sampling. Once the digital form is refined, she translates the data into physical patterns to test real-world movement, before returning to the software for further adjustments.

This tech-driven process allows Nguyen to create complex, considered pieces, such as her signature sculptural hand details. Her goal is to build a modern design practice where digital efficiency and meaningful storytelling come together to create lasting garments.
