Nikki Leila is a multidisciplinary creative from the British Virgin Islands whose work spans photography, writing, styling, and makeup artistry. Through her work, she often explores themes of Caribbean identity and Black representation. Her creative approach combines editorial aesthetics with personal narratives, resulting in imagery that is both visually appealing and socially reflective.
Her Final Major Project, Visual Isle, is an independent fashion magazine that exclusively features Black Caribbean models across four distinct photoshoots, each shaped by its own unique concept, styling, and visual identity. The publication aims to reclaim and challenge limited representations of Caribbean beauty within fashion media while highlighting the individuality, confidence, and presence of each model.
