The 2 Face Part Cover
The 2 Face Part CoverThe 2 Face Party Cover explores the ideas of rave culture and how over stimulated you may feel on the inside when consuming recreational substances like vapes via using graphic design. The project was created during Brassington's first steps into Canva and experimenting with the software specifically the layering primarily to demonstrate how your body can feel when high (Eg: brain feeling overworked and dizzy) by creating a poster that can show the perspectives of both the individual consuming the recreation substances on the outside compared to what you might feel on the inside both feeling like a “party/rave” but your body feels more corrupt as a result.
The Secret to Antarctica's Survival The idea with this project was to showcase the importance of Antarctica and how it manages to survive and stand it's ground despite human interference in a comedic way.
Deco The Therapy Gecko
Deco The Therapy GeckoDeco The Therapy Gecko explores ideas of mental health awareness through character design and concept art. Brassington has personally struggled with mental health challenges linked to neurodivergence and feeling easily overwhelmed. As a result, this project aims to promote mental health awareness through creative work. The character was inspired by the influencer “Therapy Gecko,” a content creator who listens to people and their personal issues. It was also influenced by figures such as Karl ASMR, whose informal “therapy-style” content, while not professionally qualified, was still found to be supportive and comforting. In future projects, Brassington aims to continue exploring and promoting mental health themes, as it is a subject that is often underrepresented in contexts such as university environments.
