Francesca Lacey

Francesca Lacey is an aspiring architect with a passion for studying the relationship between anthropology and spatial design. Her work showcases a consistent theme of exploring the ways in which architecture influences the behaviour and wellbeing of its inhabitants.

Lacey focuses predominantly on digital 3D design, with a growing proficiency in using Rhino to communicate her ideas through rendered elevations and 3D printing. She also has experience using Adobe Photoshop to place designs within contextual environments and Adobe Illustrator to design files for laser cutting.

Lacey is also interested in photography, which she has been able to explore further through capturing her architectural models, considering composition and lighting. An interdisciplinary approach has expanded her understanding of visual storytelling within architectural presentation.

Beginning BA (Hons) Architecture in the 2026/27 academic year, Lacey hopes to continue developing a historically informed and socially responsive design practice, with the long-term ambition of achieving RIBA Parts II and III qualification.
