Barbara Szemerédi
Barbara is currently studying on the Access to HE course at Ravensbourne University London, where she has been developing her skills across graphic design, visual communication, and concept-driven creative work. Although she is currently returning to education, she already has a background in graphic design and has continued building her creative practice through independent projects over the years.
Originally from Hungary, her work explores how design can create emotional connection through colour, typography, and storytelling. She is particularly interested in bold visual systems, playful interaction, and accessible design that combines strong aesthetics with clear communication. She always aims to approach visual communication with an individual perspective and strives to create work that feels distinctive and original.
Alongside design, music has always been a huge part of her life. Singing with Choir With No Name has also influenced the way she approaches collaboration and communication within her work.
During her course, she began developing skills in motion graphics and video editing using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. Next year, she plans to study Motion Graphics BA and further expand her practice into moving image work.
