Clara Bell is an editor and art director with a focus on storytelling, design and cultural identity.

For her Final Major Project, Bell created Ceangal, an independent Irish magazine exploring how a connection to Ireland shapes the work of Irish creatives. The debut issue, Connecting to Home, features interviews with creatives across fashion, art and design, looking at how their relationship with home has influenced and defined their creative practice.

Alongside the editorial direction, Bell creative directed and styled original photoshoots, collaborated with fellow creatives and contributed her own personal writing throughout the issue. Ceangal is as much a reflection of her own voice as it is a platform for others.

This is the first issue of what Bell plans to be an ongoing publication, with ambitions to grow the magazine, collaborate with more creatives and continue telling stories that are rooted in Irish culture and identity.
