Rukkayabanu Tandel

Rukkayabanu Tandel is an Indian illustrator based in London. Her illustration practice involves mainly using traditional mediums to depict whimsical imagery and fantastical creatures. Her project interests include concept art for animation/games, book/comic illustrations and set design model-making. She takes huge inspiration from films/dramas and fantasy fiction novels to influence her illustration practice. Tandel has also previously studied Fine Art and Photography which has led to some observational illustrations based on her life experiences.

In her spare time, she loves to create drawings based on her surroundings or explore mythical themes for character and environment designs. Apart from pursuing art, Tandel tends to stay home, reading fiction novels and watching dramas/movies.
