Rhea Spencer-Newell is a photographer based in London currently in her third year studying BA (Hons) Digital Photography at Ravensbourne University London. Since picking up photography as a hobby in 2018, her admiration for it has only grown and developed into a serious passion, mainly driven by her love for football and specifically Charlton Athletic, a club she has supported for around a decade now. Her work explores all aspects of football, aiming to capture the action and passion of the sport but also the small moments during a matchday that often go unnoticed and get lost within such a fast-paced game. Spencer-Newell especially appreciates that football acts as a sort of universal language as a sport that is loved worldwide, bringing people together, and through her work she hopes to show the deep emotions involved in the game and capture timeless moments that tell a story, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows.
