Liam Curtis is an emerging fashion designer driven by a clear and uncompromising vision: to restore purpose, individuality, and craftsmanship to contemporary clothing. Working under the concept of 'Factory Unknown', Curtis challenges the stagnation he sees in modern fashion, where mass production and profit often outweigh creativity and function. His work is rooted in the belief that clothing should not only look distinctive but also serve a practical, everyday purpose.

Curtis’s approach blends military aesthetics, vintage technical wear, and subtle gothic influences, balancing durability with strong visual identity. With particular focus on functional details; pockets, fastenings, construction techniques he enhances wearability whilst maintaining a refined, contemporary silhouette. Rather than following trends of exaggerated or oversized forms, he prioritises thoughtful experimentation, allowing ideas to develop organically.

A strong advocate for physical design processes, Curtis prefers crafting and fitting garments by hand rather than relying heavily on digital tools. This tactile approach allows him to fully understand form, fit, and fabrication, building a personal archive that informs each collection.

Sustainability is also central to his practice, with a focus on limited production, pre-order models, and minimising waste. Curtis aims to enter the fashion industry while laying the groundwork for his own label.
