Kate Wood moved to London from a small village in Suffolk driven by her determination to carve out a creative life and establish herself within the digital industry. Wood has worked with the digital arts since she was 14, developing hands-on experience across editing, writing, performance, and filming. This start to her journey helped instil confidence and passion for storytelling.

During her 2nd year, Wood showed her strengths in writing, producing, directing and acting by creating a short mockumentary based on conspiracy theorists. Wood came back to this as her Final Major Project, which saw her revisit The Whimsical Authorities of Theorising Science. The project showcased her comedic instincts, creative voice and ability to manage a production independently, going from an idea to the final outcome.

Her work is driven by a love of character-led comedy and from a childhood full of laughter and admiration for TV, and is focused on working in this industry in the future. She is striving for a career where she can be bold, original and creative, and one that reflects her working class roots and passion for comedy, unity and entertainment.
