Jasmine Liu
Jasmine Liu is a womenswear designer and multidisciplinary creative whose practice explores the relationship between emotional storytelling, sculptural construction, and material experimentation.
Currently studying at Ravensbourne University London, her work combines traditional craftsmanship with digital processes, including 3D modelling and wearable art. During the Zaha Hadid Foundation x Architecture Competition, she was awarded the Bronze Award for developing an intricate 3D-printed headpiece using Nomad, integrating digital techniques with physical form to explore the boundaries between fashion and spatial design.
Her Final Major Project, The First Flip, Vernal Order, investigates girlhood as a state of emotional transition, self-awakening, and transformation. Inspired by her experience growing up in an all-girls boarding school in the UK, the project explores the relationship among femininity, female solidarity, and the changing rhythms of spring. Through movement-responsive silhouettes, sculptural textile manipulation, and transformable “flip” structures inspired by tarot cards and turning pages, the collection examines concealment, revelation, and identity formation through wearable form.
