Imogen Chase

Imogen Chase is a driven, motivated designer specialising in sustainability and functionality within her work. She focuses on ways to make design more eco-friendly and creating multifunctional garments that serve more than one purpose. Through each project, Chase has explored new ways to design and develop her skills, learning how to problem-solve and overcome challenges.

Chase has found a real passion for sustainability and has aimed to incorporate these values into her future projects. For her Final Major Project, she channelled this into creating a sportswear collection focused on yoga and freedom of movement through clothing design. She researched fabrication and successful sportswear styles to develop a collection centred on comfort and flexibility. The designs are all based on having more than one function and being made from conscious, sustainable materials.

For this accessories project, Chase aimed to create an over the top garment, inspired by muse Lady Gaga. She used an old shirt, upcyling it into something new, avoiding waste.

In her Final Major Project, Chase created a multifunctional garment, which could be worn in a variety of ways, down to the wearers preference.
