Elvie Vero

Elvie Vero is a London based filmmaker who explores contemporary themes surrounding the pressures of social media, the construction of identity, and personal growth in adolescence. Their recent project “Pieces of us” uses a documentary style approach to convey emotion, combining interviews with a range of shot types to create a more engaging and authentic narrative to demonstrate realism, portraying young people in a genuine and unfiltered way by creating a film that reflects identity.

The project uses experimentation with varied shot types and lenses, to demonstrate how visual style can reflect the complexities of youth and self perception to demonstrate a sense of realism and intimacy by creating a documentary that presents a natural and relatable portrayal of contemporary adolescence.
