Aimee Stanley
Aimee Stanley is a Level 6 UX/UI designer whose practice explores the connection between media literacy, branding, and strategic problem-solving. With a strong interest in storytelling and communication, her work focuses on how audiences engage with digital experiences and contemporary culture.
Her design approach combines empathy, research, and creative thinking, aiming to develop thoughtful solutions that not only communicate clearly but also encourage users to learn and engage from new perspectives.
Stanley’s Final Major Project examines her passion for the skincare industry. Through research and observation, she recognised how overwhelming product choices and online culture can feel for users, raising the question: Do we really need all this skincare?
The solution is Dear Skin, a simplified, personalised skincare platform designed to guide users towards understanding their skin in a more mindful and accessible way. Responding to overconsumption and de-influencing culture, the project focuses on clarity over complexity.
So what if your skincare experience was truly guided by you? Through Dear Skin, she challenges the overconsumption culture by creating a more thoughtful skincare experience, encouraging users to recognise that skincare has focused on products for far too long, when in reality, skin is personal and constantly evolving.
Through this project, Stanley learnt that solving problems within an industry she is passionate about allowed her to express simplicity, clarity, and thoughtful user-centred design.
